i totally loved this image - i think its exactly what i want done with my ashes when i go...assuming there isn't a passing member of parliament to throw them at!
Yes, a great idea! I think this could really catch on (really!).
Would be good for a postcard or something this poem maybe. I have a vaguely similar one on a card (about being a balloon). They could be friends...penpals even.
I loved this! Both the poem and the notion are fantastic! I really liked the bucket with the soapy water and the wooden spoon. And who doesn't love bubbles?
What a lovely idea! Bubbles are so fragile and beautiful and free! Then they pop, and it's over - a little splash as a reminder that they ever were. Fresh take on the prompt.
this made me smile. i;d like my ashes fired up in a maroon but bubbles? i like the sound of that

ReplyDeleteVery nice - striking image and genuinely moving.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of this too... hhhmmmmmm... I wonder what the mix ratio would be for something like that.. :-)
ReplyDeleteA great way to finish a life!
ReplyDeleteLawrence Welk would love this! Thanks for the smiles.
ReplyDeleteOh my God, I'm going to do it.
ReplyDeleteMy son in particular would think it a brilliant thing to do.
(though knowing my luck, it would start raining)
I'm going to nick "the poetry and the notion" from Kat, because she's right, both were great.
ReplyDeleteLoved "Incant, if you feel the urge,..." and the whole of the final stanza - "Release me over the river,..."
