The Poetry Bus this week is driven by Marion at Dragonfly.
Colours - I have quite a few poems about colours. Someone once recommended using colours in my writing for visual effect and to make my writing more colourful. I'm just saying...
I have one coming out in the Autumn issue of Magma so I can't post it here yet so here's another.
Removed now for rework and potential print publication
Brilliant achingly sumptuos tragic.
ReplyDeleteLove Magma, nice one!
Wow! The first hint, "He doesn't like gloss" to that final line, I found myself racing to finish it because of the ominousness that was building. Really ingenious.
ReplyDeleteKat (I keep telling people, I'm still thinking, so don't visit me yet. Unless you want to read my Magpie Tale, which would be most welcome.)
Very vibrant.

Thanks. I've been messing with this idea for a while
ReplyDeleteThis was a sumptuous jewel of a poem. I loved the insertion of the disappearing rose man and
ReplyDelete"There’s a book about misery in Easons –
the spine’s just the right tinge of crimson."
Class job.
And as a literalist, I think you'll find YSL's no. 67 is the very dab.
Love all of the shades of red, and that last line is a kicker!
ReplyDeleteYup, I'm always searching for that perfect shade of lippy too. Very sensual
ReplyDeleteYup, like this one alot.
ReplyDeleteNicely done
Too bad you weren't trying to match a paint color instead, because they could just scan your bloody lip and get it perfect.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting stop for the Poetry Bus, E.R.
You're so right! Red is my favorite color, but one of the trickiest to get exactly right. Love how you finish the wine.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Not only the colors, but the textures, too, just jump off the page. Thanks for riding the Poetry Bus with me!! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI shall look out YSL's no. 67. Thanks everyone for letting me ride the bus, lippy or no lippy
ReplyDeleteVery very Interesting take on the prompt.Loved the story weaved in it!:)
