Very expensive again and a little known, new publisher. I'd think twice.

Yes the expense of entries fees is an issue. The worst I saw was a poetry competition in Ireland where entry was 10 euro and prize was 100 euro. The other issue is publishing the list of winners and commended. It's often very difficult to find out who won.

Michael's right, on both counts. THe prize should fit the entry fee, and the organisers should announce the winners. Common courtesy, I'd say.

For Flarestack, this is probably a (small) profit-making way of gettting good MS submissions for their press.

Well, WRW beat me to it. It's hard to know what the craic is with this crowd, I'd be one to watch and see who wins and who are commended and if there's a bit of publicity about it.
