Rathlin Island Literary Festival


This sounds fun. An intriguing line up of tutors.

“Let Me Take You To The Island” is a literary festival initiated by Ballycastle Writers Group

Where: Rathlin Island
Rathlin Island sits in the Irish Sea seven miles from Ballycastle town on the lovely North Coast and in the heart of the Glens of Antrim.

When: 11th-13th September 2009
Board the Rathlin Ferry from Ballycastle Harbour at 4.30pm on Friday for the short crossing to the Island.

The festival is celebrating it's tenth year. Events include workshops in poetry, song, film, stage and short story; concerts; book and CD launches; drama performances and readings.

This year’s tutors include: Dermot Bolger (Writing a Novel); Dave Duggan (Writing for the Stage); Kate Newmann (Poetry 1); Ruth Carr (Poetry 2); Colum Sands (Songwriting); Teresa Godfrey (Screenwriting) and Damian Gorman (Six Rules for the Writing of Anything).
