The program for the inaugural Hay festival at Kells is packed but not many appeal to me personally. I've always wanted to go to the festival in Hay-on-Wye so I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest.

Yes indeed Kate I agree. If you do attend make sure you drop in to the Victorian Afternoon Tea organised by
Kells Arts Club. Each afternoon of the festival there will be literature, poetry and song in Edmund Rice Centre, Bective St., Kells, 2-6 pm. No entry fee, everyone welcome.
Underwhelmed. I just looked at the Edinburgh book festival in comparison.
I may stop by on the way back home from Annaghmakerrig.
We had a blast at the 11th Immrama Festival of Travel Writing a couple of weeks back - and a terrific line up for it - Paul Theroux, Simon Winchester, Liz Davies & Hilary Linstead and Charlie Connolly were the main presenters. Hope you get here for it sometims if you haven't been, as it gets better every year!
Immrama passed me by completely this year. Must keep an eye out next year.
