One of the biggest prizes in poetry. And shortlisted for a Business 2 Arts Funding award.
If you have a few kick ass poems, it's well worth a punt.
I'd like to win very much.
There were more than 1,000 entries last year and it was won by Paul McMahon from Sligo. Sarah Clancy got second prize and Lydia Macpherson third.
This year it's even bigger.
First prize: €5,000 plus two nights B&B for two, including one evening meal, at Ballymaloe House in Co. Cork, Ireland
Second prize: €1,000
Third prize: €500
The competition is open to everyone, as long as the work is original and previously unpublished. It will be judged by Leontia Flynn, winner of the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and a Rooney Prize for Irish Literature.
Deadline: 31 December 2012.
