7 Things Memes

Thanks to the lovely Orla Fay. 7 things about me that aren't all that common knowledge.

1. um. I secretly like memes like this. I rarely get them

2. I spent all last week resenting things, like having to go to work, having to do bank accounts, having to go to Tescos.

3. I have a degree in Physics, specialising in Atomic and Optics.

4. I adore Doctor Who, not just David Tennant but also Russell T Davis' writing and Stephen Moffat's writing. The new guy's quite good too. Amy Pond is better though. I haven't seen any of the much lauded Sherlock Holms.

5. I prefer Earl Grey tea

6. The first band I saw live was Ian Dury and The Blockheads.

7. I have a tattoo. But what? And where? Answers on a postcard. Answers in the comments. There may be prizes.

My favourite blogs have probably already been mentioned.
- Various Cushions
- Michael Farry
- Barbara's Bleeuugghh
- TFE
- JoAnne at Titus the Dog
- Rachel Fox at More about the Song
- Peter at The Stammering Poet

I seriously envy number 6!!! Never got to see them live and can only imagine how that coloured your subsequent perspective of live bands in general.

(Enjoyed your Electric Picinic report too)

Yahoo! Atomic physics! You are the man!
Me too with Dr Who, though I prefer the new guy to Tennant.

Tattoo? Graphic of a hydrogen atom on your left ankle. I like specific guesses.

And a big cheers.

The tattoo is a Dalek, on your right shoulder, and it dances when you move your shoulder blades!
Thanks for naming me :-)
I put up my v revealing list on Wednesday's post.

Saw Dury a couple of times - brilliant!!
Titus, I think you're being ridiculous. I go for a nude Buzz Aldrin on your left buttock.

Tattoo, chest maybe?

And physics, WOW, I'm impressed.
Have a good weekend

The tattoo suggestions are coming in thick and fast. I'll give you a clue. It's my native american spirit animal (I used to live in New Mexico. Such things were common place. Plus there was that guy on Star Trek Voyager)

The entire 'Battle of Horseshoe Bend'is rendered in graphic detail across every inch of your whole body (Except your face) in a series of colourful tattoos. On the crown of your head (which used to be shaven save for a jaunty ponytail)is your spirit animal or Butterfly in this case, symbolising transformation, balance, grace and bog snorkelling, your favourite hobby.I'm right, aren't I?

Right, I'm going crow then, because;

Crow is the left-handed guardian. Crow knows the unknowable mysteries of creation and is the keeper of all sacred law. There are several species of crow. Raven is one of these and magpies are another. Crow medicine people are masters of illusion. Do not try to figure crow out. It is the power of the unknown at work, and something special is about to happen.

But no way on your temple! Sticking with ankle, which can sometimes mysteriously mean shoulder-blade.

That's a poem in itself Titus. Or do you have a crow?

Nevermore!

It's a lizard! Why didn't I take the Good Sherry Trifle clue sooner! Ankle/shoulder blade. Was there a prize?

Emerging Writer said...

Titus - you're a legend! A lizard indeed. left shoulder blade, discrete, sweet.
Prize on the way. Yes, you lucky, lucky reader. A copy not only of Poetry Divas 1 but also Poetry Divas 2 pamphlets.
Everyone else thanks for the whimsical and suggestive guess. And if you too want a Poetry Divas 1 and/ or Poetry Divas 2 pamphlet, you can order on the sidebar

Yahoo!
No need to send the PD1, as I have a treasured copy, but if you insist I am sure I can find someone interesting to pass it on to.
However, delighted to be getting a PD2 to add to my collection.
Made up! Chuffed to bits!

Emerging Writer said...

Oh do pass it on to someone nice. Another Diva perhaps?

Fine idea! I know the very one. Although she's just won a bloody book I wanted elsewhere...
