Kildare County Council Arts Service invites applications
from young writers (aged 12 -21) living in or from County Kildare, to submit a short story to be
included in ‘Stories for the Ear. Volume 3.’
Now in its third year, ‘Stories for the Ear’ is an audio
showcase of writers from County Kildare. Volume 1 & 2 can be heard by
going to www.kildare.ie/artsservice
For volume 3, the application process is open
exclusively to young people aged 12 -21.
10 stories will be chosen for ‘Stories for the Ear.
Volume 3’
Successful writers will:
- Have their story professionally recorded in the Platform4 Audio and Digital Media Studio
- Receive a once off payment of €120 for having their story included.
- Receive 10 copies of their story on CD for promotion of their work.
- Have their work showcased on the Kildare Arts Service Website www.kildare.ie/artsservice and Kildare Arts Service’s Youtube channel

yourself, and your contact information.
Closing date for applications is Friday 31st
August 2012
