Active v passive

Read this fascinating post from Anne's Mini Blog, a US agent, on using the president elect's victory speech as an example of how not to write (if you don't want to annoy/bore your agent)

Thank you for the link.
Sadly your "Bridport winners" post is disabled - would be interesting to know your view. My husband wanted to enter next year.

Hi Natasha

Thanks for dropping by. I'm postingon the Bridport later this evening. Many of the winners have MAs or MFAs but I'm not sure if that means anything. Otherwise it's hard to judge without seeing the poems and short stories that won.

Something weird's going on. Your future posts are showing up on google reader, but there ain't nothing here comment on.

Methinks your settings need adjusting, *ahem* :)

What's google reader? Not sure where to look for settings. Is it daylight savings a week or so late or a gap in the space time continuum?

Google reader is how I keep up with everyone's blogs now -brill. You know who's posted and who hasn't. V. handy instead of having to trawl through all the blogs you follow, your google reader picks them all up. You have a google email account because of blogger - then you're good to go. Google it :)
