International Put a Poem in a Shop Month

I'm joining Niamh's great International Put a Poem in a Shop Month at Various Cushions. See her diva-esque blog for more details.

I put in this poem about Mashed Potatoes in the Potatoes section. It's quite nerve-wrecking lurking in the vegetable aisle.

As yet unpublished so I've taken the text away now.

Please anyone else join in. The more the manier and much merrier. There should be plenty of shopping expeditions to sneak some poetry into the shops. And what's the worst that could happen? Someone reads it? Someone throws it away?

Ohh, so posh looking on the card with the diva logo and all!! Well done & thanks for joining in. Next question - scarier or less scary than main stage at Castle P?

It'd be interesting to know if anyone likes it so much that they want to take the card away...
Great dimpling.

Well done! LoL! It is scary isn't it? Why though? As you said, what's the worst that could happen?

Excellent poem!

Thanks. Maybe I should check it tomorrow. (Maybe not)

Main Stage defo more scary. What's the worst that could happen there?!

Spread the word. I've added it to Global Poetry System http://gps.southbankcentre.co.uk/poems/698/mash

Really like that poem and though I am ethically (and hypocritically ) opposed to all things Tescoite, I have to admit that €2 for 2kg of spuds is very good.Get thee behind me Tesco.

I'm often leaving poems (and indeed books) around coffee shops. It seems a calculated risk - someone looking to relax may be more inclined to read than someone picking up their bread and milk. Or am I treating a romantic gesture far too pedantically?

Hi Inks, That's great to hear. Can you sneak a photo the next time? Merry Christmas

I shall lie in wait behind a conifer for someone to read the poem I've left. Then surprise! It's a Kodak moment.

I don't suppose you post stories on your blog at all? I've recently incorporated fiction into my blog, you see.
