We read this for our book club last year - it was very well liked although the premise was totally mad it seemed to have worked out well, and been nearly plausible - probably because the characters are so sympathetic. I haven't seen the film, heard it is very romanticised and I think it could detract from the book. I have always been disappointed (My Sister's Keeper and Revolutionary Road are two recent ones that I didn't like in film)
I won't be in Dublin this Friday - saw the new book - will it be as good?
